Blender Render to Photogrammetry to Blender Test Meshroom

In this video I test something I have wanted to test for a while now. I wanted to render a very simple scene in Blender and then put those rendered frames into a photogrammetry software like Meshroom and then use Meshroom to recreate the scene based only on the images and then import Meshroom’s output back into Blender.

  • Very cool concept 👍
I have one unrelated question. I am working on a motion track and I want to use an object with a glass shader. But, it doesn't render caustics instead it has a solid black shadow, as if it were opaque. Also, when using the emission shader, it renders as a shadow instead of light. It's probably based on how the shadow Cather is set up, but I'm not too familiar with it. How do I fix this?

  • I have always wanted to to this but was always too lazy. Thanks for solving my problem.
