Have a great day!
I suggest DO NOT USE CLIPS to hold the bed down. the clips caused more issues than anything..
when you get your glass be prepared to Bed Level at least 5 times back to back. Make sure you first lower the bed all the way down then level at least 5x times. everytime you adjust one adjustment it messes with another… once you find yourself clicking “next step” and making no adjustments then you’re done leveling.
I WOUND UP PUTTING THE SCREW BACK IN AND adjusted the bed all the way down then Bed Leveled again. seems to work either way. Well the video was the “first look” . i’ll shoot a nicer edited version of this within a few days. THANKS FOR WATCHING

I'll stick with my Wham Bam magnetic print bed thank you. TH3D solid bed mounts and the EZ-ABL auto leveling sensor.
Did you change the springs in this or are they the same ones and only changed the bed and took out the washer and changed that thing with the Z.
great video bro
this is great. I recently got my Ender 5. Thanks. Do you need to use any glue stick on that glass bed? How much extra weight does it add?
If I put the glass bed on, it just goes down due to the weight. Is this normal? What would happen if I start printing? Thank you.
At long last, my glass bed has arrived all the way from China yesterday. I replaced that screw (which is M4x12) with a longer one (M4x16). Because I am disabled, my housekeeper went to ACE to get the screw and a nut for me, and they gave her a nut that cannot be screwed all the way down. Tomorrow I am going to the little local mall where ACE is, so I will see if I can get a different nut or perhaps a handful of washers for a more precise adjustment. After that, I should be finally printing.
Thank you for the information on the Ender 5. I am a total 3D Printing newbie but I am loving so far. Could you maybe do an instructional video on changing out the filiament. That would help me out a great deal. Thank you again!
So, Just have that En5.
Wow its huge 🙂 Its really huge, but the size of print area is relatively small.
Installed the blue PTFE tube 1.9mm diameter, and Universal Filament Spool Holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2070272) with custom handmade mounting, or just print 2 files called
" mounting* " from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3114139.
It prints very good, the bed seems to be quite flat.
Some days ago I tried ABS with En3. – completely damaged the surface by mistake with levelling.
Anyway ABS doesn't stick well to Cmagnetic at 100 degrees C (just first 2 layers OK).
I definetely know how to fix the bending bed now. We just need to mount 2 aluminium U shaped profile 20x10mm and 260mm long near adjustment knobs – need to drill 2 M3 – M4 holes at front.
My glass bed is still in the mail, coming from China. Creality is sending it to me for free after I showed them http://i68.tinypic.com/9amhkx.jpg as a proof that my bed is warped (or concave as you said). It was they who told me to place a metal ruler across the diagonal of the bed and place the light behind it, so they can see the light getting through below the center of the ruler, which proves the bed is warped.
I did not talk to them on Facebook but on www.creality3donline.com where you go to My Account / Message and you leave them a message in the Q&A section. They usually take a while to respond simply because they are in China, so they are in bed when we are up, and they are up when we are in bed. But they do respond and are anxious to work with you to find a solution.
Joe, there is some kind of magnetic sponge over the metal bed base that the Ender-5 comes with for the flexible mat. I installed my glass bed just above it but I kind of noticed in your video that your glass bed is straight pressed to the metal of the bed. Is this correct? How relevant do you think is this difference between our installations?
I wanted to purchase, but the seller did not recomend me using glass bed because of temperature performance and weight. I'm not agree, why not?! Especially because their CMagnetic is not good to me – that bed is not flat enough.
where to buy the glass bed?
If you want the crispest flow, try thishttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3203831
You will need soap and water cleaning followed by vinegar solution soak and wipe, to clean your hand oils off the bed…..isopropyl clean every part with bed cooled preferably
1 bed clip? does that work?
Should get my Ender 5 in a few days. Did you remove the magnetic pad before using the glass bed?
that glass bed wowed me for few month…. but now I need a gluestick to start every print again like the good old days. btw, don't let the nozzle get too close to the glass and scrach it. if you look after it well like baby, it might last longer than mine did.
Hey! Love the video. Where did you purchase the glass bed at?
So, you did get the glass bed I told you about. 🙂 I received and built my Ender-5 but I think I got a lemon because the display just keeps falling off. I went to ACE hardware, bought two new M4x8 bolts and am going to see if that fixes the problem.
