  • About the power setting being on Europe when in US. It will power up but it will reset the machine every time you try to heat the bed. Nice guide. Thanks for sharing.

  • Just got a refurbished Ender 5 and this vid was great, so helpful and I used all the files to put onto my unit, they make so much sense, thanks for them. They all fit with ease! Wires were still a little tricky but not bad at all, I have been printing away for 3 days now 😀 I’m a very happy camper

  • Not understanding when I download the files onto sd card. Shows file is there. When I insert it to printer doesn't show it on the screen. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, I just got the Ender 5 Pro and it always builds a sort of platform under all of my prints, but in your video it prints directly to the bed. Do you know how to make it print directly to the bed? I am using the Creality Slicer software. Thank you.

  • I just set up my Ender 5 pro and it is running 1.1.6.3 and it does not have the option to auto bed level in the Prepare menu…am I missing something?

  • I picked up the ender 5 pro and from the first print I seem to have an issue with the exruder jamming. Do you have any recommendations?

  • That wasn’t auto leveling I have same on mine with the whole paper thing. It’s actually manual leveling.

  • I have a brand new Ender 5 but not the option for "bed auto leveling" is your machine flashed or something?

  • Why did you choose that particular bowden fitting? The reviews on amazon are not very good and I don't see how that would be upgrade. You still have to do the same mod so no benefit that I can tell except "(As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases)" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3203831 You should add that to your list of recommended upgrades.

  • Great video. What height do I need to set the extruder to during assembly?

Steve Moss July 25, 2020 7:37 am Reply
  • Hi you say the advised distance from the top for the extruder,i am assembling mine, and changing it while watching your vid,in my handbook it doesnt give a distance.Could you tell the distance please?
X axis belt, watching your part about the belts,i am unable to get the X-axis belt to run straight, keeps riding up to the top of the pulley on the motor, which tells me the motor is not perfectly vertical.Have tried moving the brass ferrules butit keeps going to the top of cog wheel.
Y axis i was able to adjust, right hand belt travel back and forth across pulley.I put this down to the belt not being cut straight,i assume.
    Brilliant vid,thank you!

  • How far down should the extruder be? I could not find any specifications in my manual or online. Thank you!

  • I got an Ender 5 for Christmas (from me to me) and I’ve been doing a load of research before I even opened the box. After watching this video I went ahead and ordered the metal extruder upgrade. Today I opened the box to examine the pieces and despite not being listed on the parts, there was already an upgrade kit in the box of tools and hardware. I guess Creality is including them now, so I get to cancel my order

  • Hi from the UK. A really great and informative video as I have today received my Ender-5 as my first 3d printing machine and I have zero knowledge. Now off to open the box and put it together.

  • I just assembled mine using your guide. When I got to "Auto Home" my axes run into the ends and grind as the motor is trying to move, but it can't go any further. I've double checked all of my wiring, and they are plugged in the right places. Any idea why my Ender 5 has no idea where it is on the X, Y, Z, coordinates?

Mike Dunkley July 25, 2020 7:37 am Reply
  • Does the Ender 5 come with auto bed level out of the box? I got mine about a week ago, and it doesn't have this, but I've seen it on a few videos about bed leveling. Also, when I auto homed for the first time, the nozzle was driven into the magnetic build surface because the set screw for the z-limit switch was too low or my springs weren't compressed enough or too much. New owners may want to keep a finger on the power switch when they first start up. I have to wait for my glass bed to arrive before I can print anything because I can't level the bed with the build surface damaged like this. It damaged the heated bed a little as well. The front left corner of the bed looks like something hit it and is sticking up slightly, The bed sags to the front after only 4 short prints (1 dog and 3 Benchys), so I plan on installing some washers to compress the springs a little more so that I can print the support strut upgrades.

Also, the Ender 5 PSU is now a Landy.

Is mine the only printer that has a display that lights up when you manually move the bed up and down, even though the printer is turned off and unplugged?

Obviously this is my first printer, and I plan on beating the crap out of it as I learn ,so when I upgrade to a better model I won't wreck it.

  • Thank you, nice video, although I don't have an option in menu for Bed leveling Process like in yours in 26:06 under move axis.
